SUMMER OF 
OPPORTUNITY
Summer has come to Bellingham!! So, much to do in this short and glorious season it can be overwhelming. It's also a incredible time to buy a house. The days are long, which allows more time after work to schedule showings. The kids are out of school, so there is still time to figure out which school they'll be going to next year. The homes and gardens are at their peak loveliness, The inventory is incredible right now -- so many great houses to choose from and as of today, the interest rate for a 30 year fixed loan has been holding steady at 4.25%!!
Veteran home buyers will tell you, that is practically free money, when you consider the interest rates from a few years back. When it hit 6%, it was considered a great deal. 5.5% was amazingly low. When rates plummeted to 5% a few months ago, no one thought it could go lower. At 4.75%, we gave a collective, awestruck, "Wow." Now it's just crazy. I suspect we'll look back on the Summer of 2010, and remember this as a time of great opportunity. I encourage you, not to let it pass you by.
